As TSUNAGU2 moves into its exciting final phase, they dedicated some time to exploring the wonders of the city.

Beyond the Court: Tokyo Discovery

To ease into the Tokyo hustle, the girls first visited Asakusa, a place brimming with energy and tourists from all around the globe. Stepping onto the Sumida Riverbank, they were treated to a stunning view of cherry blossoms framing the iconic Tokyo Skytree. They enjoyed this perfect mix of ancient and modern!

After a delicious Ramen lunch, the girls headed to teamLab Borderless, a world-renowned, immersive digital art museum. They were instantly mesmerized by a vibrant world where light, sound, and reflection create a dazzling dance. Every corner they turned offered a new "Wow!" moment, and they had the best time exploring this magical space. It was pure fun from start to finish!

From Discovery to Action: The Girls Take on High-Level Training

Following their inspiring cultural discovery, it was time for the girls to shift their focus back to the volleyball court. They had the incredible opportunity to visit and train with the Aoyama Gakuin University women’s volleyball team - coach Kana's alma mater!

Aoyama Gakuin is a powerhouse in Japanese university volleyball. Their remarkable track record for the 2024 season included winning the Autumn League Championship and finishing as runners-up in the All Japan Intercollegiate Championship. Entering 2025, they continue to perform at the highest level of the prestigious Kanto League Division 1.

The training session was an invigorating experience, packed with energy and a shared passion for the sport. The girls dove into drills, honed their skills, and exchanged valuable tips with the top-level university players. Beyond the intense play, it was also a wonderful time for connection. Laughter and encouraging words filled the gym as new friendships were forged through volleyball.

The day concluded with group photos, capturing the smiles and mutual respect shared by both teams. This invaluable training experience provided the perfect opportunity to learn from some of the best in Japan while strengthening the bonds of friendship.

The Final Challenge: Rigorous Training at Nittaidai

For the very last volleyball session of the expedition, the girls visited Nippon Sport Science University (Nittaidai). This legendary program is a true cornerstone of Japanese women’s volleyball history, having produced many of the sport’s greatest icons. Their success continues today, evidenced by their brilliant victory at the 2025 All Japan Intercollegiate Volleyball Championship.

Stepping into the Nittaidai gym, the girls were met with a burst of positive energy and vibrant school spirit! The girls experienced firsthand the intensity of a top-tier powerhouse, starting with meticulous fundamental drills that required unwavering precision. It was undoubtedly a physically and mentally demanding day, pushing them to their limits.

Despite the grueling pace, the girls embraced every challenge with a smile and relentless grit. Training alongside athletes of such high caliber was the perfect way to conclude their volleyball journey in Japan. They leave the court not only with improved skills but with the mental toughness gained from one final, unforgettable day of hard work.
